This site and memorial fund are dedicated to preserving the memory of Jeremiah Michael “Jeremy” Meyer, a 26 year old father, son, partner and friend that passed on June 7th, 2008.
Jeremy was an inspiring young man that touched the lives of many around the globe. His sudden and tragic death was not a loss felt exclusively by his family and friends but by the professional and retail audio communities on a national level.
We believe the best way to honor his legacy of excellence and acknowledge his accomplishments in the audio community was to establish a memorial fund to preserve the memory of Jeremy - his commitment to family and friends; his passion for life, his desire to learn; perfection in all that he touched; and “making the world a safer place for audio”.
The Jeremiah M. Meyer Memorial Fund was established with the support of Jeremy's close family and friends. The (JMMM) Fund will be administered by a Board of Governors. Funds collected will be managed by a committee representing the concerns of Jeremy’s daughter and sole beneficiary, Danielle Elise Meyer, consistent with the mission of the fund. The implementation of the funds strategy will create a legacy that embodies Jeremy’s values.
The fund will continue to be sponsored by Spoiled By Technology (SBT), which will administer the collection of donations and the fulfillment of administrative functions. The fund is duly registered with the IRS’ Department of Treasury and holds a valid EIN. Spoiled By Technology is based in Naperville, Illinois.
The single-minded core focus/mission of the fund is providing financial support to his 7 month old daughter Danielle. We will be steadfast in our decisions made regarding distribution of the collected funds to assure the continued health and welfare of Danielle. Danielle was born with Turner Syndrome.
We maintain close communications with the family and offer our assistance in any areas that we are able. Please know that Jeremy’s family is extremely grateful for your donations, concern and support as they continue to work through this difficult time. Your calls, cards and messages have been a source of comfort.
Finally, we ask your patience as we continue to develop this site. With your permission, we will post many of your expressions of friendship & affection, fond memories and additional pictures.
Visit often - this is a long term strategy!
On behalf of the Fund, we truly appreciate your continued support.
